Xero has globally launched new AI-powered analytics capabilities, delivering enterprise-grade insights, visualizations, and instant financial answers directly within its platform to empower millions of small business owners with data-driven decision-making.

  • Xero's new analytics features, accelerated by the 2024 acquisition of Syft, are now available to millions of subscribers worldwide less than one year after the deal closed.
  • Business owners gain customizable dashboards, visual graphs for profitability and cash flow, 180-day cash flow projections with scenario planning, AI-generated summaries and suggestions, and custom business health scorecards that integrate external data such as website traffic.
  • The tools are built for non-specialists, making sophisticated analytics accessible without requiring advanced data skills.
  • AI insights provide clear explanations of financial data, helping owners move beyond guesswork to confident, timely decisions.
  • Businesses that regularly analyze financial data through these features see higher average revenue growth, according to Xero.
  • The launch aligns with Xero’s broader AI strategy, including the recent introduction of JAX, its AI financial superagent, to bring trusted, accurate intelligence to small businesses.

Small businesses often lack the sophisticated tools larger enterprises use to understand performance and forecast effectively. Xero’s new analytics suite changes this by embedding powerful reporting and AI-driven insights directly into the platform millions already rely on for accounting, payroll, and payments.

Enterprise-Grade Intelligence for Small Businesses Following the rapid integration of Syft’s capabilities, Xero now offers customizable dashboards that track key metrics across revenue, expenses, and performance indicators. Visualizations make it easy to monitor profitability, cash flow trends, and balance sheet health at a glance. The cash flow manager projects up to 180 days ahead and supports “what-if” scenario planning, enabling owners to test potential decisions before committing.

AI-generated insights and summaries explain financial patterns in plain language, while custom scorecards allow businesses to combine internal metrics with external signals—such as website traffic—for a holistic view of business health. These features are intentionally user-friendly, designed so any business owner can gain meaningful understanding without needing a dedicated data analyst.

"Powerful analytics embedded in Xero puts small businesses on equal footing with larger enterprises and enables them to move beyond guesswork and make clear, data-driven decisions with greater speed and confidence," said Diya Jolly, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Xero. "We know businesses that analyse their financial data regularly see higher average revenue growth, and these tools make it easier than ever to understand performance and maintain a competitive edge."

"These new analytics features from Xero are exactly what I've been looking for," said Macushla Collins, founder at The BD Edge. "Instead of searching for another tool, I can now get the clear financial understanding I need, right within Xero. I’m looking forward to using these insights to feel more confidence in my business decisions."

This release advances Xero’s vision of delivering trusted, accurate AI capabilities tailored to small businesses. With 4.6 million subscribers and a 20% increase in first-half revenue to NZD $1.2 billion (half year ended 30 September 2025), Xero continues to balance strong growth with profitability while expanding its AI and insights offerings.
