ParaScript’s new embedded signature verification solution transforms how financial institutions combat check fraud. Unlike traditional methods that rely on archived signature cards or external databases, this technology embeds a customer’s verified signature directly onto each check in a secure, hidden format during checkbook issuance. This approach ensures a reliable reference is always available for instant verification, streamlining processes and bolstering security.

How It Works

The solution leverages advanced AI models within ParaScript’s SignatureXpert.AI® platform. When a check is presented—whether at ATMs, teller lines, kiosks, remote deposit capture (RDC), or high-speed processing systems verification software automatically extracts and decodes the embedded signature. The system then compares it to the handwritten signature on the check, analyzing the probability of a match. Any discrepancies are flagged for further review, enabling rapid fraud detection. The encrypted, invisible nature of the embedded signature ensures it cannot be copied or tampered with, offering robust protection against fraud.
