Founded in Melbourne in 2019, CyberCX is a prominent cybersecurity firm in the Asia Pacific, with a workforce of 1,400 professionals and operations in Australia, New Zealand, London, and New York. The acquisition enhances Accenture’s ability to deliver end-to-end services, including offensive security, threat intelligence, managed detection and response, and cloud security. CyberCX’s AI-powered platforms, such as its sovereign secure cloud and CyberCX Academy, will integrate with Accenture’s agentic AI capabilities to address the region’s growing cybersecurity demands.
The acquisition aligns with Accenture’s State of Cybersecurity Resilience 2025 report, which revealed that 97% of Australian organizations are unprepared for AI-driven threats, with 80% lacking robust data and AI cybersecurity practices. “CyberCX and Accenture share a mission to harness the power of cyber to help our clients securely navigate change,” said Paolo Dal Cin, global lead, Accenture Cybersecurity. By combining CyberCX’s regional expertise and partnerships with Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, and CrowdStrike, Accenture aims to transform cybersecurity into a strategic advantage.
Valued at over $650 million, the acquisition reflects the rising demand for cybersecurity solutions in the Asia Pacific, where the market is projected to grow from $74.22 billion in 2025 to $141.04 billion by 2030. “Client demand for cybersecurity services is accelerating as data and digital environments become increasingly connected,” said Peter Burns, Accenture’s Australia and New Zealand lead. CyberCX’s 2,600+ certifications and trusted relationships with government and critical infrastructure organizations will amplify Accenture’s regional influence.
John Paitaridis, CEO of CyberCX, emphasized the synergy: “Joining Accenture’s global cybersecurity organization enables our exceptional people to combine forces with global capabilities and provide world-leading cybersecurity services.” This acquisition, Accenture’s 20th in cybersecurity since 2015, positions the company to meet escalating client needs amid AI and quantum technology advancements. The deal, subject to regulatory approvals, is expected to close soon, further solidifying Accenture’s leadership in the global cybersecurity landscape.
