INDATA, a leading provider of cloud-native SaaS solutions for buyside firms, has released a new software update integrating generative AI capabilities. Announced on May 13, 2025, this release includes over 300 enhancements across order management systems (OMS), portfolio accounting, reporting, and client portals, designed to improve productivity and functionality for asset managers.

Quick Intel

  • INDATA releases software with generative AI for buyside firms.

  • INDATA AI Agent enables natural language data queries via MDM.

  • New OMS features enhance trader and portfolio manager productivity.

  • Architect AI Reporting offers customizable report packs with Power BI.

  • iPM Portal adds dark mode, MS Office 365 integration, and mobile app upgrades.

  • Client Dana Investment Advisors leverages AI for front-to-back-office efficiency.

Generative AI-Powered Data Access

The release introduces the INDATA AI Agent, which uses large language models to query data from the Master Data Model (MDM). This natural language interface allows users to request, validate, and format data outputs seamlessly, enhancing accessibility for portfolio managers and compliance officers. The AI-driven approach aligns with industry trends toward automation while prioritizing data security and privacy, critical for fiduciary obligations.

Enhanced OMS and Portfolio Management

New front-office OMS features for Architect AI users streamline workflows for traders, portfolio managers, and compliance officers. Automated trade settlement via NYFIX Matching and billing rebates for NYFIX network clients reduce operational friction. These tools boost productivity by enabling faster trade execution and compliance checks, catering to firms managing diverse asset classes like equities, fixed income, and derivatives.

Advanced Reporting with Architect AI

The Architect AI Reporting module introduces customizable report packs, allowing users to combine multiple standardized reports with embedded Microsoft Power BI visualizations. This functionality empowers end users to create tailored insights, improving decision-making for asset managers and clients. The integration of advanced data visualization enhances the clarity and impact of portfolio performance reports.

Upgraded iPM Portal Features

The iPM Portal now includes a dark mode theme, MS Office 365 API integration, and intuitive “drag & drop” document management. Mobile app improvements, available on the App Store and Google Play, enhance accessibility for users on the go. These upgrades make the portal more user-friendly and efficient, supporting client and manager interactions across devices.

Client Success with Dana Investment Advisors

Dana Investment Advisors, a Brookfield, WI-based firm managing $8 billion in assets, benefits from INDATA’s front-to-back-office SaaS solutions via the iPM Private Cloud. “The ability to utilize AI tools is becoming important to our firm from an industry standpoint,” said Mark Mirsberger, CEO of Dana Investment Advisors. The firm’s adoption of INDATA’s AI validates its internal AI initiatives, ensuring predictable results with robust data controls.

Commitment to Secure AI Innovation

INDATA emphasizes a cautious approach to AI adoption, releasing features only when they meet strict client standards for security and compliance. “As an early adopter of AI within our SaaS solutions, INDATA’s approach has been to release ongoing features only when we feel they are fit for purpose,” said David Csiki, President of INDATA. This strategy ensures productivity gains while safeguarding client trust.

INDATA’s latest software release positions it as a leader in AI-driven solutions for buyside firms. By integrating generative AI with robust OMS, reporting, and portal enhancements, INDATA empowers asset managers to optimize workflows, enhance insights, and meet fiduciary responsibilities, driving efficiency across the investment management landscape.
