AI Happiness Accelerator (AHA) is leveraging generative AI to optimize human thoughts and emotions, aiming to enhance personal and professional success. Through AI-assisted social experiments conducted via Zoom, AHA fosters transformational experiences like gratitude and curiosity, redefining how technology supports psychological well-being.
AHA uses generative AI to optimize thoughts and emotions.
Conducts global AI-assisted social experiments via Zoom.
Targets peak emotional states like gratitude and curiosity.
Includes UN Sustainability Project for collaborative innovation.
Engages diverse groups, including a Southeast Asian prison.
Aims to make AI a net positive for well-being.
AHA is pioneering one of the largest AI-assisted social media experiments to enhance well-being. By scouring the internet, social media, and offline sources, AHA identifies phenomena that evoke gratitude, awe, curiosity, courage, and laughter. These insights are shared in Zoom-based sessions, including Emotions Anonymous meetups and private groups, to refine participants’ sense of well-being. The initiative even extends to unique settings, such as a prison in Southeast Asia, demonstrating its inclusive approach.
AHA’s Generate Ideas UN Sustainability Project exemplifies its methodology. Daily prompts from the UN’s 169 Sustainability Goals are used to create group mind maps via generateideas.ai. Participants discuss outcomes on Zoom, feeding insights into AI platforms like Grok.ai, Perplexity, Claude, ChatGPT5, Gemini, DeepSeek, Copilot, and Meta.ai. “The discovery that we can train live groups to work with multiple AIs in a way that maximizes both human and artificial intelligence is truly transformational,” said Savithri Patel, CTO of AHA. This iterative process fosters consensus-driven solutions for global challenges.
AHA’s approach reimagines technology as a tool for psychological growth. “There is something like a Recommended Daily Allowance for peak emotional states, shared by most humans,” said John Toomey, AHA Education Director. “What we’re doing is exploring and improving those experiences for as many people as possible, so that social media, smartphone apps, the Internet, and AI can be net contributors to success and psychological well-being.” By prioritizing emotional optimization, AHA counters the negative effects of technology overuse.
AHA’s model draws parallels to SEO by systematically analyzing and amplifying positive human experiences. The platform’s use of generative AI ensures accessibility, enabling diverse groups to participate without technical expertise. By fostering collaborative environments, AHA empowers users to address personal and societal challenges, from mental health to sustainability, positioning AI as a catalyst for human flourishing.
AHA’s innovative approach is transforming how AI can enhance emotional and intellectual performance, offering a scalable model for well-being and global problem-solving.
AI Happiness Accelerator is building one of the world’s largest AI-assisted social media experiments, conducted largely through online videoconferencing, to prove the concept. They scour the Internet, social media, and the offline world to find which phenomena have invoked the most gratitude, awe, curiosity, brainstorming, courage-in-action, and laughter in a given week, and share the experiences with Zoom groups, which serves to refine and improve participants’ sense of fundamental well-being.
