Catchpoint, a global leader in Internet Performance Monitoring (IPM), announced two industry-first AI capabilities that redefine how enterprises troubleshoot incidents at Internet scale. The new Catchpoint Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Catchpoint Advisor tools provide IT teams with proactive monitoring guidance, automated root cause detection, and actionable recommendations, helping organizations resolve incidents faster, reduce downtime, and improve overall digital resilience.
Catchpoint introduces AI-powered Root Cause Analysis and Catchpoint Advisor.
RCA rapidly pinpoints service issues using Catchpoint’s Internet Stack Map.
Catchpoint Advisor offers AI-driven monitoring recommendations to eliminate blind spots.
Both features accelerate problem resolution and strengthen digital resilience.
Innovations come at no additional cost to Catchpoint customers.
Reinforces Catchpoint’s mission to simplify monitoring of critical applications.
Catchpoint’s RCA capability leverages its Internet Stack Map and event intelligence to automatically identify the primary cause of outages. Instead of requiring teams to manually review multiple dependencies, RCA analyzes backend waterfall data to pinpoint disruptions, presenting findings in clear text. This approach provides an early warning system, enabling IT teams to respond more efficiently with faster problem isolation across complex distributed service stacks. Importantly, RCA comes at no additional cost for Catchpoint customers.
The second innovation, Catchpoint Advisor, strengthens monitoring strategies by recommending best practices to ensure comprehensive coverage. The AI engine suggests tailored monitoring tests, Internet Sonar coverage, and pre-configured test setups, including HTTP Web, Web Chrome (Playwright), SSL, Traceroute, and DNS Experience. Advisor highlights existing monitoring assets, identifies gaps, and speeds up deployment of resilient monitoring architectures. Recommendations are offered free of charge, though additional tests and Sonar services may incur standard costs.
Catchpoint leadership highlighted the practical value of these new innovations. “AI should remove complexity, not add to it,” said Mehdi Daudi, Catchpoint co-founder and CEO. “With these new AI-powered capabilities, Catchpoint is making it dramatically easier for organizations to achieve proactive visibility across their critical applications. By embedding clear, actionable intelligence, we’re ensuring customers can identify and resolve issues faster than ever before — without guesswork.” Matt Izzo, Chief Product Officer at Catchpoint, added, “We have been investing in AI for many years now, with a very clear focus on the practical value of these capabilities: improving resilience of complex distributed applications and making life easier for IT operations teams.”
These enhancements expand Catchpoint’s long-standing AI investments, reinforcing its commitment to digital resilience. At a time when nearly one-third of organizations only become aware of performance issues once end users complain, according to the Internet Resilience Report 2025, Catchpoint’s innovations close critical monitoring gaps. By accelerating detection, guiding monitoring posture, and embedding root cause intelligence, Catchpoint positions IT teams to ensure peak application performance in today’s AI-driven enterprise landscape.
In today’s exacting digital age, performance is paramount. The top online retailers, Global2000, CDNs, cloud service providers, and xSPs all rely on Catchpoint to ensure high performance and digital resilience by catching issues across the Internet Stack before they impact their customers, workforce or digital experiences. Catchpoint’s Internet Performance Monitoring (IPM) suite offers Internet Synthetics, RUM, BGP, Tracing, performance optimization, high-fidelity data, and flexible visualizations with advanced analytics derived from the world’s largest, most detailed, active observability network.
