Arthur Technologies has released new research highlighting that while AI is ubiquitous in workplaces, organizations are not fully leveraging its potential, often limiting it to siloed, task-specific applications. The survey calls for a shift toward treating AI as a digital colleague integrated into collaborative workflows.

  • Arthur survey shows 100% of employees use AI at work.

  • AI commonly used for research, data analysis, brainstorming.

  • Fewer use AI for project management, customer service, sales.

  • 82% encouraged to use AI, but 37% lack training.

  • 89.5% say AI boosts creativity, yet only 47.6% see it as a partner.

  • Arthur One integrates AI into workflows as a digital colleague.

AI Ubiquitous Yet Underutilized

The research, based on a July national online survey of 1,012 U.S. employed consumers conducted by Propeller Insights on behalf of Arthur, reveals widespread AI adoption but limited integration. 100% of employees reported using AI at work in the last three months, with nearly half using it multiple times per day. However, applications remain narrow, focusing on background tasks like research (55.7%), data analysis (50.5%), and brainstorming (40.0%), treating AI as a junior assistant rather than a peer.

Key Survey Findings on AI Applications

The survey indicates lower usage for core enterprise functions, such as project management (37.5%), customer service (10.9%), and sales (6.9%). These findings suggest management encourages adoption, but AI remains confined to siloed tasks, behaving more like a search engine than a collaborative colleague. “Today’s enterprises are only scratching the surface of AI’s potential,” said Christoph Fleischmann, Founder and CEO of Arthur Technologies. “Employees are eager to embrace AI, but deployment decisions still treat it as a tool, not a teammate.”

Structural Barriers Hindering AI Potential

Structural challenges include lack of training, with 82% of employees encouraged to use AI but 37% never receiving formal guidance. While 89.5% believe AI enhances creativity, only 47.6% view it as a true collaborative partner. “The absence of formal training, combined with accuracy and privacy concerns, is preventing AI from reaching its full potential,” added Fleischmann. Integrating AI into workflows can make it more intuitive, addressing accuracy through contextual understanding.

Arthur One Addresses AI Integration Challenges

Arthur One, Arthur Technologies’ latest platform, embeds AI directly into team workflows for real-time engagement. Drawing on expertise in immersive collaboration, it enables AI to listen, respond, and contribute naturally, overcoming siloed use and building trust. This fosters intelligent decision-making and seamless human-AI partnerships.

Arthur’s research emphasizes the need for enterprises to evolve AI from tools to digital colleagues, unlocking greater creativity, efficiency, and collaboration through integrated platforms like Arthur One.
