Crusoe’s $750 million credit facility, announced on June 11, 2025, will fuel the expansion of its AI factories, leveraging clean energy for sustainable data centers. “The demand for AI infrastructure is growing exponentially,” said Chase Lochmiller, CEO and co-founder of Crusoe. The funding builds on Crusoe’s $600M Series D in December 2024 and a $15B joint venture with Blue Owl and Primary Digital Infrastructure for a 1.2-gigawatt AI data center in Abilene, Texas.
Brookfield’s infrastructure debt platform supports Crusoe’s mission to deliver scalable AI infrastructure. “We are excited to partner with Crusoe, a company at the forefront of powering the critical infrastructure needed for AI,” said Eric Wittleder, Deputy CIO of Brookfield’s Infrastructure Debt business. The deal, facilitated by Eastdil Secured, validates Crusoe’s role in projects like the Abilene campus, leased to Oracle.
Crusoe’s AI-optimized data centers, featuring direct liquid-to-chip cooling, achieve up to 99.98% uptime and support clients like MIT and Together AI. The Abilene facility, part of the $500B Stargate project, will deploy 400,000 NVIDIA GPUs by mid-2026, using low-cost wind energy. “Crusoe’s ability to provide backbone infrastructure solutions at scale aligns perfectly with our investment philosophy,” Wittleder added.
The Brookfield facility follows a $225M credit line from Upper90 in March 2025 for NVIDIA GPU purchases. Crusoe’s focus on clean energy aligns computing with climate goals, serving a $500B AI infrastructure market growing at 30% CAGR. Posts on X highlight enthusiasm for Crusoe’s $400M AMD MI355X chip purchase for a U.S. data center, boosting AMD’s rivalry with NVIDIA.
With 800 employees and partnerships with Digital Realty and Equinix, Crusoe operates across four cloud regions. Its European expansion includes a Norwegian data center with Polar. The Brookfield funding positions Crusoe to meet surging AI compute demand, reinforcing its leadership in sustainable, high-performance infrastructure.
Crusoe is on a mission to align the future of computing with the future of the climate. Crusoe provides a reliable, scalable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly solution for AI infrastructure by harnessing large-scale clean energy, building AI-optimized data centers, and empowering builders to reach their AI potential. Crusoe is empowering the AI revolution.
