Adobe launched Acrobat Studio, marking a major evolution for the PDF format it invented in 1993. Now used in over 3 trillion documents worldwide, PDF is being transformed from a static file standard into a dynamic, AI-powered environment for productivity and creativity. Acrobat Studio brings together Acrobat’s document tools, Adobe Express’s easy creation features, and agentic AI to help users—from professionals to students to consumers—get insights faster, create compelling content, and collaborate more effectively.
“Acrobat Studio is the place where your best work comes together, uniting the productivity of Acrobat, the creative power of Adobe Express and the value of AI to empower you to work smarter and faster,” said Abhigyan Modi, senior vice president, Document Product Group.
At the core of Acrobat Studio are PDF Spaces, which convert collections of PDFs, web pages, and other files into interactive knowledge hubs. Users engage these Spaces via customizable AI Assistants that uncover insights, generate ideas, provide recommendations, validate answers with precise citations, and allow note-taking for future reference.
AI Assistants can adopt specific roles—such as “instructor,” “analyst,” or “entertainer”—to tailor responses to the task. Users can further personalize assistants to fit unique project needs. Entire Spaces, including configured assistants, can be shared with colleagues, clients, or classmates, enabling seamless group interaction and insight extraction.
Acrobat Studio integrates Adobe Express Premium’s full suite of tools and assets, including professionally designed templates, brand kits, and Firefly-powered generative AI for Text-to-Image and Text-to-Video creation. This allows users to turn insights from documents directly into polished infographics, presentations, flyers, social posts, and more—without switching applications.
The platform retains Acrobat Pro’s complete toolset for scanning, editing, combining, e-signing, redacting, comparing, and protecting PDFs. New AI capabilities include document summarization (including scanned files and contracts) and contract-specific AI analysis.
For enterprises, Acrobat Studio offers robust security: state-of-the-art encryption, secure sandboxing, compliance-ready features, and centralized IT deployment. AI only analyzes documents users explicitly select, and all responses include clickable citations linking back to source content for transparency and verification.
Acrobat Studio is available globally in English starting today with a 14-day free trial, providing unlimited access to PDF Spaces, AI Assistants, and Adobe Express Premium. Early access pricing is $24.99/month for individuals and $29.99/month for teams. For more details, visit the Acrobat Studio page.
