Storm Reply, a company from the Reply group specializing in cloud applications, has completed a project for 1NCE, a major IoT network operator. The project involved the development of a new API proxy for 1NCE's IoT platform, which is designed to simplify integration, enhance security, and enable globally scalable operations for its 24,000 customers. The proxy acts as a central interface, replacing complex individual solutions and optimizing IoT workflows.

  • Storm Reply developed a new API proxy for 1NCE's IoT platform.

  • The proxy acts as a central, intuitive interface to streamline IoT workflows for customers.

  • It simplifies integration, increases security, and enables the global, scalable operation of IoT applications.

  • The solution processes over 18,000 API calls per second, supporting 1NCE's rapidly growing customer base.

  • The application, built on Amazon Web Services (AWS), ensures continuous data flow traceability and high availability.

  • The project's goal is to make IoT more "uncomplicated and affordable" for 1NCE customers.

Optimizing IoT Workflows and Enhancing Security

The new API proxy is a key component in 1NCE's mission to make IoT solutions more accessible and efficient. The proxy restructures the platform's API layer, centralizing all communication between the customer-facing application and the backend. This allows for all processes—from activating IoT SIM cards to device management and data analysis—to be handled through a single, uniform API. This integration simplifies the user experience, reduces development times, and lowers operational costs for customers building their IoT ecosystems.

Scalability and Traceability for a Growing Customer Base

A standout feature of the new application is its continuous traceability of all data flows, from the networked device to connected systems. This transparency is maintained even in heterogeneous IT environments with multiple cloud providers or third-party solutions, significantly speeding up error diagnosis and improving operational safety. The proxy, which is built on AWS, is highly scalable and already processes over 18,000 API calls per second. This robust performance ensures that the platform can reliably support 1NCE's more than 24,000 customers and their expanding needs, paving the way for agile and secure business models in various sectors, from Industry 4.0 to smart metering.
