Workleap, the Montreal-based tech company behind the Workleap Platform and ShareGate, has appointed Peter Dougherty as Chief Revenue Officer. Quick Intel

  • Peter Dougherty joins Workleap as Chief Revenue Officer to guide global revenue strategy and team alignment.
  • Dougherty brings 15+ years scaling SaaS businesses, including a decade at Lightspeed Commerce where he managed ~$350M in annual revenue and 1,000+ employees.
  • Most recently, he served as President of Spreedly, leading a go-to-market reset and strengthening operational foundations in fintech.
  • Workleap, nearly 20 years old, is entering a new growth chapter focused on scaling impact globally while preserving its product-led culture.
  • The appointment follows the addition of CFO François Deschamps last year, signaling strengthened executive leadership.
  • Dougherty will help maintain intentional, sustainable scaling while protecting Workleap's customer trust and simplicity focus.

Workleap is positioning itself for accelerated global expansion with the addition of Peter Dougherty to its executive team. As CRO, Dougherty will oversee the alignment of revenue-generating functions across the company's two core product lines: the AI-powered Workleap Platform for HR and employee engagement, and ShareGate, the leading Microsoft 365 migration and governance tool.

Dougherty's track record includes foundational leadership at Lightspeed Commerce, where he joined early and helped transform the Montreal startup into a publicly traded global SaaS company. He held senior roles with full P&L responsibility for significant revenue streams and large international teams, navigating organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

Most recently at Spreedly, Dougherty led a successful go-to-market overhaul in a complex, cross-border fintech environment while preserving the company's product-led strengths and operational discipline.

Simon De Baene, CEO and co-founder of Workleap, said: "Workleap is entering its next phase of growth, and Peter is the right leader to help us get there. He's scaled through growth, M&A, and tough transitions, and understands what's required at every step. We're 20 years in the making, and we're now building a new foundation to fuel the next decade, and that's why we're excited to add Peter to the team, building on the addition of CFO François Deschamps last year."

Peter Dougherty commented: "Joining Workleap at this stage is a unique opportunity. The company has already built strong products and earned customer trust. My focus is on aligning our revenue teams and sharpening how we go to market, so we can scale in a way that's intentional and sustainable while preserving what makes Workleap special."

This leadership addition reflects Workleap's strategic emphasis on sustainable scaling while continuing to deliver simple, high-value solutions trusted by more than 20,000 companies worldwide.
