In response to the escalating volume of scam robocalls and spoofed caller IDs eroding consumer trust, global cloud communications platform Infobip is enhancing its Voice solutions in North America. The focus is on standardizing and expanding its Branded Calling ID (BCID) offering, which displays verified business information on incoming calls. With recent data showing Americans receive twice as many fraudulent calls as other global regions, Infobip is partnering with major US telecom providers to simplify BCID adoption, helping businesses rebuild trust, improve answer rates, and protect their brand identity.

The need for verified calling solutions is critical. Research indicates that over three-quarters of Americans now ignore incoming calls due to the high volume of fraud. This widespread skepticism is costly for businesses, as legitimate calls from brands are missed, disrupting essential customer communication and damaging brand reputation. BCID is designed to stem this tide by providing a clear, trusted identifier.
Branded Calling ID enables businesses to provide verified rich caller information that consumers can trust. When a call is placed, the business's name, logo, and reason for the call are displayed on the recipient's screen. This transparency allows consumers to distinguish legitimate business communications from potential scams, restoring confidence in answering their phones and making voice communications more efficient for enterprises.
Infobip is accelerating BCID adoption by partnering with some of the most widely used telecom providers in the U.S. to simplify the implementation process for businesses. This strategy builds upon Infobip's previous moves to strengthen its voice network, including the acquisition of Peerless Network to develop a nationwide voice network covering 98% of the US and an expanded partnership with NumHub to launch BCID.
"Voice communications is a staple for every touchpoint of the customer journey, but the intensifying number of voice scams and robocalls are driving consumer skepticism, costing businesses billions of dollars every year," said Mijo Soldin, Vice President of Telecom Strategy and Partnerships at Infobip. "Our Voice solution aims to alleviate roadblocks in implementing secure, verified calling so businesses can rebuild their reputation as a brand that people trust.”
”Branded Calling ID enables businesses to provide verified rich caller information that consumers can trust, restoring confidence in voice calling and making calls more efficient for businesses,” said Tom Sawanobori, SVP and CTO of CTIA.
By simplifying access to verified calling technology, Infobip is taking a significant step towards rehabilitating the voice channel for business communication. This enhancement empowers brands to reclaim a vital touchpoint, ensuring they can reliably reach their customers in an increasingly skeptical digital landscape.
