AnyCreek, a leading AI-powered booking and business management platform for guided outdoor experiences, has acquired Origin, a software company dedicated to serving outfitters and guides. This strategic move strengthens AnyCreek’s mission to empower outdoor businesses with innovative, scalable solutions.

Quick Intel

  • AnyCreek acquires Origin to form a leading AI-powered SaaS platform.

  • Combined platform operates in all 50 U.S. states, supporting thousands of guides.

  • Facilitates over 1 million hours of guided outdoor experiences.

  • Enhances bookings, payments, permits, and guide management tools.

  • Plans to streamline marketing, insurance, and payroll for outfitters.

  • Follows AnyCreek’s $1.8M seed funding round in June 2024.

Unifying Outdoor Industry Solutions

The acquisition of Origin by AnyCreek creates the most comprehensive AI-powered vertical SaaS platform for the outdoor industry, serving thousands of guides and outfitters across activities like fishing, mountain guiding, biking, and watersports. “This acquisition represents a major milestone—not just for AnyCreek and Origin, but for the entire outdoor industry,” said Benjamin Lazarov, CEO of AnyCreek. The combined platform, operating in all 50 U.S. states, has powered over 1 million hours of guided outdoor experiences, offering tools for bookings, payments, calendars, permits, waivers, and guide management.

Expanding Capabilities for Outfitters

AnyCreek aims to go beyond operational tools, envisioning a platform that acts as an extension of its customers’ teams. “Today, our platform is best-in-class for bookings, payments, calendars, permits and reporting, waivers, and guide management. But that’s only the foundation. Our vision is for Origin and AnyCreek to become extensions of our customers’ teams — helping outfitters not only run their operations, but also streamline marketing, manage insurance needs, support payroll, and unlock growth that was previously inaccessible to small businesses in this space,” said Lazarov. Both brands will operate independently in the short term to ensure continuity while integrating resources for faster innovation.

Shared Vision and Industry Support

Origin’s guide-first approach aligns with AnyCreek’s philosophy, ensuring the combined platform prioritizes personal relationships and industry expertise. “Origin was founded to solve the complex operational challenges that guides and outfitters face every day,” said Alex Fletcher, Co-founder and former CEO of Origin, who will serve as an advisor during integration. “AnyCreek shares that same guide-first philosophy. The combined platform will give outdoor business owners access to an unmatched suite of tools.” Industry leaders, including Claudia Morrisson, Partnerships Manager of the American Mountain Guides Association, praised the acquisition for its potential to drive guide-focused innovation and support the sustainability of professional guiding.

The acquisition, following AnyCreek’s $1.8 million seed round in June 2024, positions the company to transform how outdoor businesses operate, enabling them to connect with guests and scale efficiently. Leading outfitters across North America continue to rely on AnyCreek and Origin for streamlined operations and growth.
