Arkose Labs, a leader in fraud protection, device identification, and bot management, has appointed Shimon Modi as Senior Vice President of Product. In this role, Modi will advance the platform's development to deliver robust defenses against evolving fraud and abuse threats throughout the digital consumer journey.
Modi will prioritize AI utilization for both offensive and defensive measures against advanced attacks, develop a roadmap for safeguarding digital identities, and employ Arkose Labs' consortium-driven intelligence derived from insights shared by global platforms. This approach provides customers with superior protection against dynamic threat actors in the fraud landscape.
With 25 years in cybersecurity, including a PhD in biometrics and advanced user identification from Purdue University, Modi has led product and engineering at TruSTAR (acquired by Splunk), shaped security solutions at Elastic, and directed cyber product strategy at Dataminr. His background equips him to enhance Arkose Labs' capabilities in combating modern threats.
“Protecting massive digital platforms from everyday fraud, abuse and scams is not just a professional challenge, it’s personal. I think about the digital world my kids will grow up in, and I want to ensure it’s a safer place,” Shimon Modi said.
“The Arkose Labs mission resonates deeply with me,” said Shimon. “Protecting massive digital platforms from everyday fraud, abuse and scams is not just a professional challenge, it’s personal. I think about the digital world my kids will grow up in, and I want to ensure it’s a safer, more secure place.”
"Shimon's deep expertise in cybersecurity, biometrics and AI, combined with his proven mission-driven leadership, will accelerate our ability to deliver best-in-class protection and continuous innovation for customers like Microsoft, Meta, Expedia and leading global banks," said Kevin Gosschalk, founder and CEO of Arkose Labs. "His appointment reinforces our commitment to redefining account security by disrupting the economics that drive adversary ROI. Shimon will spearhead ongoing innovative approaches that exponentially increase attackers' operational costs and complexity, making attacks financially unsustainable and ultimately eliminating the threat."
Modi's appointment strengthens Arkose Labs' efforts to secure digital journeys, foster a safer online environment, and innovate in fraud prevention using AI, shared intelligence, and targeted threat mitigation.
Arkose Labs is the leading global provider offering a proactive fraud deterrence platform purpose-built to neutralize modern attacks, including those powered by Agentic AI and large language models (LLMs). Its comprehensive solution combines proprietary device identification (device ID), behavioral analysis, phishing protection, email intelligence, scraping prevention, API defense and bot management. Trusted by the world’s leading consumer brands—including two of the top three banks, Microsoft, Meta, Roblox, and many others—Arkose Labs stops account takeovers, fake account creation, LLM-driven scraping and SMS toll fraud. The platform actively undermines attacker ROI by introducing dynamic friction, making it economically unsustainable for adversaries to persist. Its Security Operations Center (SOC) provides actionable insights from an extensive cross-industry intelligence network, which monitors legitimate traffic and attack patterns across global enterprises.
