Hogan’s extensive experience in statewide cybersecurity leadership will enhance SecurityScorecard’s efforts to help public sector agencies and critical infrastructure organizations address third-party cyber risks more effectively, especially as nearly one in four government entities report insufficient cyber resilience.
As governor, Larry Hogan prioritized cybersecurity as a statewide imperative. He created the State Chief Information Security Officer position to centralize oversight, established the MD-ISAC for improved threat intelligence sharing, and brought together federal, state, and industry leaders through the Annapolis Cybersecurity Summit. These initiatives built a coordinated, proactive defense framework that positioned Maryland as a model for government cyber resilience.
