Asimily, a leading IoT, OT, and IoMT risk mitigation platform, has introduced advanced features to its security platform, focusing on IoT Password Management and Device Patching. Announced on July 28, 2025, these updates streamline cybersecurity for organizations managing diverse IoT device fleets, addressing critical vulnerabilities in devices like printers, IP cameras, and network access points.

  • Asimily launches IoT Password Management for stronger credential policies.

  • IoT Patching now supports 200% more manufacturers for automated updates.

  • New user interface enhances efficiency for security and IT teams.

  • Features reduce unauthorized access and vulnerability windows.

  • Supports industries like healthcare, manufacturing, and finance.

  • Vendor support to increase by 400% within a year.

IoT Password Management for Enhanced Security

Asimily’s IoT Password Management feature, integrated into its IoT Management module, simplifies adherence to password best practices across devices from multiple manufacturers. It enforces strong, unique credentials, reducing the risk of unauthorized access to critical IoT infrastructure with minimal operational disruption. This feature is designed to help organizations maintain robust security while ensuring seamless device functionality.

“Organizations with device fleets have always struggled to keep them updated. Unlike servers and operating systems, there is no streamlined process owned by the software manufacturer for IoT. This has always forced organizations to devote significant time and money to this essential line of defense,” said Shankar Somasundaram, CEO of Asimily.

Expanded IoT Patching Capabilities

Since its initial launch in March 2025, Asimily’s IoT Patching solution has doubled its supported vendors, enabling thousands more devices to receive automated firmware updates. This 200% increase in manufacturer support allows organizations to secure devices like IP cameras, printers, and network applications more efficiently. Asimily is on track to expand vendor coverage by 400% within a year, significantly reducing vulnerability windows. The solution offers flexible deployment options, including on-demand, bulk, and scheduled updates, minimizing operational downtime.

Streamlined User Interface

Asimily’s refreshed user interface, informed by extensive research, prioritizes speed and efficiency for security and IT teams. The intuitive design organizes critical features around common workflows, reducing friction in risk mitigation tasks. This update enhances user experience, enabling faster and more effective management of IoT, OT, and IoMT infrastructure across industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, and finance.

“With our new IoT Management module and its Password Management and Patching capabilities, devices get automatically and fully updated faster with far less time and effort, helping prevent successful attacks from establishing a foothold within a company’s networks,” added Somasundaram.

Asimily’s latest enhancements empower organizations to secure their growing IoT ecosystems, addressing the unique challenges of device management and reinforcing its position as a leader in IoT cybersecurity innovation.
