Delinea, a leader in intelligent, centralized authorization for human and machine identities, has completed its acquisition of StrongDM, the universal access management platform built for modern engineering, DevOps, and AI-driven environments. The deal combines Delinea’s enterprise privileged access management (PAM) expertise with StrongDM’s just-in-time (JIT) runtime authorization, enabling organizations to eliminate standing privilege and enforce least-privilege access in real time—particularly critical as agentic AI and non-human identities (NHIs) proliferate.
The explosion of agentic AI and automation introduces privileged access needs for NHIs that traditional credential-based PAM cannot adequately secure. Static privileges create persistent risk, while manual controls slow operations. This acquisition bridges that gap by providing continuous, context-aware authorization at the moment of action.
The combined Delinea-StrongDM solution creates a single identity security control plane powered by Delinea Iris AI. It delivers:
