TransPerfect, the world’s largest provider of language and AI solutions, has released its 2026 Business Outlook Report: Global Content in the Age of AI. Published by the GlobalLink® Technology Group, the report draws on insights from nearly 100 enterprise leaders to map the current state of multilingual content management.
The primary takeaway for 2026 is that AI is no longer a peripheral experiment—it has become a foundational piece of corporate infrastructure. As organizations face "flat" budgets alongside demands for higher throughput, AI-driven automation is being utilized to bridge the gap.
Priority Shift: Nearly 75% of respondents cite AI strategy and automation as their top priority for 2026.
Operational Integration: 69% of organizations have either embedded AI into their broader operations or are currently running advanced pilots.
The "Efficiency Mandate": Despite 40% of leaders forecasting flat localization budgets, there is a universal demand for increased speed, personalization, and scale.
The Measurement Gap: 25% of organizations still fail to measure the direct business impact (conversion, engagement) of their multilingual content.
Key Drivers: Success is being driven by Generative AI, automated quality estimation (QE), and LLMs specialized for translation.
The report signals that the "discovery phase" of AI is over. Enterprises are now focused on compounding gains in cost efficiency and time-to-market. By centralizing workflows and pairing AI with human expertise, global brands are managing to "do more with less" without sacrificing the quality necessary for local markets.
"Our clients are long past the discovery and pilot phases—and are now implementing AI solutions across the enterprise," noted Phil Shawe, TransPerfect President and Co-CEO.
One of the most significant hurdles identified in the report is the lack of quantified outcomes. While AI increases speed, one in four organizations cannot yet link their multilingual content to specific business results. The report suggests that closing this measurement gap is essential for securing further investment and turning global content into a true competitive advantage.
The report outlines a successful framework for scaling in the current climate:
Centralized Workflows: Moving away from fragmented, department-level tools toward enterprise-wide platforms like GlobalLink.
Governance Frameworks: Building the rules of engagement that allow AI to scale safely and consistently across different regions.
Human-in-the-Loop: Maintaining human expertise for high-nuance content while using AI for high-volume, repetitive tasks.
