Quantinuum has launched Helios, a landmark system it describes as the world's most accurate general-purpose commercial quantum computer. Designed to accelerate enterprise adoption, Helios combines the highest fidelity of any commercial system with a real-time control engine and a modern Python-based programming language called Guppy, enabling developers to seamlessly integrate quantum and classical computing within a single program. The system is now accessible via Quantinuum's cloud service and on-premise offerings.

Quick Intel

  • Quantinuum launched Helios, the world's most accurate commercial quantum computer.

  • It features a new Python-based programming language called Guppy for hybrid computing.

  • A strategic partnership with NVIDIA integrates GB200 and CUDA-Q for real-time error correction.

  • Early collaborators include Amgen, BMW Group, JPMorganChase, and SoftBank.

  • A new partnership with Singapore's National Quantum Office will establish an in-country R&D centre.

  • The launch includes new ecosystem programs for enterprise users and startup developers.

Unlocking Enterprise Quantum Applications
Helios is positioned to drive real-world impact across key industries by enabling complex computations that were previously infeasible. The system's high accuracy unlocks potential in enhancing GenAI models with quantum-generated data, advancing research in drug discovery, financial analytics, and sustainable materials. Major enterprises are already exploring its capabilities, with BMW Group researching fuel cell catalysts, JPMorganChase investigating financial analytics, and SoftBank examining materials for next-generation batteries.

Strategic Partnerships and Ecosystem Expansion
A key component of the Helios launch is the expansion of Quantinuum's partnership with NVIDIA. The integration of NVIDIA's GB200 via NVQLink and the use of the CUDA-Q platform are critical for performing real-time error correction, a vital step on the path to fault-tolerant quantum computing. Furthermore, Quantinuum has signed a strategic agreement with Singapore's National Quantum Office and National Quantum Computing Hub, which includes establishing a local R&D and Operations Centre to accelerate commercial applications in computational biology and financial modeling.

A Foundation for the Future of Computing
The introduction of Helios represents a significant inflection point for the commercial quantum computing industry. By providing enterprise-grade accuracy, developer-friendly tools, and robust partnerships, Quantinuum is creating a foundational platform for the next generation of computational innovation. The simultaneous launch of the Q-Net user group and a startup partner program demonstrates a clear strategy to build a vibrant ecosystem that will drive the development of practical, scalable quantum applications for years to come.
