Moveworks from ServiceNow has achieved FedRAMP Moderate Authorization, a key milestone that allows federal agencies, defense contractors, and public sector organizations to securely adopt the Moveworks AI Assistant platform. This authorization supports the deployment of Moveworks GovCloud, a dedicated environment built on AWS GovCloud (US), designed to meet stringent federal security, privacy, and compliance standards.
Federal agencies face mounting pressure to modernize service delivery amid technical debt, staffing limitations, and rigorous data protection requirements. Moveworks addresses these challenges by serving as the AI front door for government workforces, providing a frictionless, conversational interface that enables employees to search and take action across business applications directly from tools they already use.
The platform supports communication in over 100 languages, ensuring consistent support for a diverse, global federal workforce. Powered by a proprietary Reasoning Engine, Moveworks understands complex requests, plans multi-step workflows, executes actions, and adapts to an organization’s unique processes—reducing manual effort for routine IT, HR, and Finance tasks.
Moveworks GovCloud provides government personnel with advanced capabilities to handle complex requests, orchestrate multi-step workflows, and perform actions across connected systems—all while maintaining strict security controls. This extends staff capacity by autonomously managing routine requests, minimizing backlogs and fragmented tool usage.
The platform integrates natively with ServiceNow while remaining available as a standalone AI Assistant, making it flexible for various public sector environments. Built-in governance ensures compliance with federal standards, protecting sensitive data throughout interactions.
“For federal agencies, security is the bedrock of every mission, but it shouldn't be a barrier to innovation,” said Damián Hasse, chief information security officer for Moveworks from ServiceNow. “This authorization allows us to bring Moveworks GovCloud to the public sector, offering a secure path to eliminate manual backlogs and fragmented tools.”
“The government workforce deserves the best technology solutions to power mission success,” said Mike Hurt, GVP, Public Sector for ServiceNow. “By achieving FedRAMP authorization, Moveworks provides a secure, agentic AI gateway that eliminates the friction of fragmented systems. Its unified conversational interface automates the everyday complexities of IT, HR, and procurement, allowing public servants to focus on mission outcomes.”
This FedRAMP Moderate authorization marks a foundational step in Moveworks’ commitment to the public sector. The company plans to pursue additional certifications, including FedRAMP High and Impact Level 5 (IL5), to further enable mission-critical use cases.
Moveworks will demonstrate its FedRAMP-authorized capabilities during a breakout session titled “Transforming Employee Experience with ServiceNow’s Agentic AI Front Door” at the ServiceNow Gov Forum on March 5, 2026.
