Calix, Inc. has announced that President and CEO Michael Weening will deliver a keynote at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona. Scheduled for the “Architects of the AI Age” session on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. CET on the MWC Main Stage in Hall 4, the session will explore how agentic AI empowers telecommunications service providers to deliver an “experience of one” to every subscriber at scale. This personalization in real time aims to drive subscriber growth, increase average revenue per user (ARPU), and reduce churn while turning AI into a core operational advantage.
Weening’s presentation will outline a forward-looking vision for the telecommunications industry, where agentic AI moves beyond basic automation to enable hyper-personalized subscriber interactions across vast customer bases. By leveraging Calix’s AI-native platform, service providers can build solutions once and deploy them everywhere, monetizing individualized experiences that enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
“That is the power of our platform, where you build once and scale everywhere so our customers can monetize by delivering an experience of one to millions of subscribers,” said Michael Weening, president and CEO at Calix.
The keynote will emphasize sustainable growth through responsible AI practices. Discussions with Kate Crawford will cover ethical considerations, ensuring agentic AI strengthens human capabilities, respects privacy, and maintains transparency in an increasingly connected world.
“At Calix, we have invested more than $2 billion over 15 years to build and launch our 3rd generation platform, backed by our partnership with Google Cloud,” said Weening. “Calix Agent Workforce is making agents-for-everyone a reality. That is the power of our platform, where you build once and scale everywhere so our customers can monetize by delivering an experience of one to millions of subscribers. The companies that turn AI into operational advantage will be the ones that win.”
Beyond the keynote, Calix will feature live demonstrations of its agentic AI platform in collaboration with Google Cloud. These showcases will illustrate practical applications for service providers, from rural broadband operators to large metropolitan markets, highlighting scalable AI deployment tailored to diverse network environments.
MWC26 Barcelona, the world’s premier connectivity event, runs from March 2–5, 2026, at Fira Gran Via. The “Architects of the AI Age” session brings together global leaders to examine the convergence of AI, connectivity, and computing in redefining network operations and delivery.
This keynote builds on the recent launch of Calix’s AI-native platform and underscores the company’s commitment to helping broadband experience providers simplify operations, boost subscriber engagement, innovate services, and drive long-term value.
