DigitalOcean has entered into a multi-year, multi-million-dollar strategic partnership with Persistent Systems, a global digital engineering firm, to make artificial intelligence more affordable, scalable, and secure for developers and digital-native businesses. The collaboration aims to accelerate AI adoption by combining Persistent's engineering expertise with DigitalOcean's agentic cloud infrastructure.
DigitalOcean announces a major strategic partnership with Persistent Systems (BSE: 533179, NSE: PERSISTENT).
It is a multi-year agreement valued at an average eight-figure sum per annum.
Persistent will use DigitalOcean's Gradient AI Agentic Cloud as the exclusive infrastructure for its SASVA™ AI platform.
The partnership aims to reduce AI infrastructure and operational costs by over 50% for clients.
Combined expertise targets challenges like high GPU costs, fragmented development, and security concerns.
The goal is to accelerate enterprise AI adoption with cost-effective, scalable, and secure solutions.
A Partnership to Tackle AI Adoption Barriers
The collaboration is designed to address key obstacles enterprises face when scaling AI, including skyrocketing GPU and infrastructure costs, fragmented agent development tools, and mounting security and compliance risks. By integrating Persistent's SASVA AI platform and engineering services with DigitalOcean's Gradient AI Agentic Cloud, the partners aim to deliver a more streamlined, cost-efficient, and enterprise-ready pathway for AI deployment.
A cornerstone of the deal is Persistent's selection of DigitalOcean as the exclusive cloud and AI infrastructure provider for its SASVA platform. SASVA will leverage DigitalOcean's full AI stack, including the Gradient AI Platform for agent development and high-powered GPU instances from Gradient AI Infrastructure. This commitment is intended to provide Persistent's clients with predictable economics, performance, and seamless scaling for their AI workloads.
Executives from both companies framed the partnership as a convergence of infrastructure and deterministic engineering. “DigitalOcean’s agentic cloud delivers the infrastructure, platform, and services that make AI accessible, scalable, and cost-effective. Partnering with Persistent expands these capabilities to more enterprise use cases,” said Paddy Srinivasan, CEO of DigitalOcean. Sandeep Kalra, CEO of Persistent, added that the partnership aims to help clients "operationalize AI with confidence" by simplifying how organizations build, deploy, and scale intelligent solutions.
The strategic alliance between DigitalOcean and Persistent represents a significant move to capture the growing enterprise AI market. For DigitalOcean, it validates its agentic cloud strategy with a major engineering services partner. For Persistent and its clients, it offers a governed, cost-optimized infrastructure path. Together, they are positioning to become a compelling alternative for businesses seeking to move beyond AI experimentation to secure, scalable, and economically viable production deployments.
