To meet the growing enterprise demand for sovereign, scalable, and high-performance AI infrastructure, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has significantly expanded its partnership with NVIDIA. The announcement includes the launch of an AI Factory Lab in Grenoble, France, new solutions for secure AI factories and datacenter interconnect, and enhanced HPE Private Cloud AI capabilities—all designed to give organizations greater control, autonomy, and compliance over their AI data and infrastructure.

  • HPE & NVIDIA launch an AI Factory Lab in Grenoble, France for sovereign AI testing and validation.

  • New AI datacenter interconnect solutions optimize performance across long distances and multi-cloud.

  • HPE Private Cloud AI gains new configurations with NVIDIA RTX PRO GPUs and enhanced security/compliance.

  • HPE introduces Alletra Storage MP X10000 Data Intelligence Nodes with NVIDIA acceleration for real-time data analysis.

  • Collaborations with CrowdStrike and Fortanix add unified security and confidential computing layers.

  • The NVIDIA GB200 NVL4 by HPE offers a compact, high-density AI inference platform.

Establishing a Sovereign AI Foundry in Europe

A cornerstone of the expansion is the new AI Factory Lab in Grenoble, France—the first such facility in the European Union. This lab provides a sovereign, air-cooled environment where global customers can test and refine AI workloads on infrastructure physically located within the EU. Equipped with the latest NVIDIA AI Enterprise government-ready software, HPE servers, networking, and storage, the lab addresses critical data sovereignty and regulatory compliance needs for enterprises operating in or serving the European market.

Antonio Neri, president and CEO of HPE, stated: "HPE and NVIDIA continue to provide the foundation for secure AI factories at any scale, with new innovations that deliver a greater range of performance for more diverse workloads than ever before."

Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, added: "Every nation and enterprise needs to own the production of its intelligence. We’re transforming the data center into an AI factory... The new AI Factory Lab provides a foundry where customers can turn data into value, securely and at scale."

Enhancing Private Cloud AI for Sovereign Operations

HPE is bolstering its HPE Private Cloud AI offering with features directly targeting sovereignty and compliance. New configurations include NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs, STIG-hardened and FIPS-enabled NVIDIA AI Enterprise software for air-gapped environments, and GPU fractionalization via NVIDIA MIG technology to optimize costs. Furthermore, HPE is introducing sovereign AI factory solutions with country-specific compliance designs and new engineering-validated reference architectures to simplify adherence to local regulations.

Accelerating Data and Networking for AI Factories

The partnership also tackles the data and networking layers critical for AI scale. New HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 Data Intelligence Nodes integrate NVIDIA accelerated computing directly into the storage layer, enabling real-time data analysis and enrichment for AI pipelines. For connectivity, HPE's AI factory networking solutions now incorporate the NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet platform and HPE Juniper Networking routers to enable high-performance, low-latency connections between clusters across long distances or multiple clouds.

Integrating Security and Confidential Computing

Recognizing that security is paramount, HPE announced collaborations with CrowdStrike to provide unified security across endpoints, identity, cloud, and data for HPE Private Cloud AI customers, and with Fortanix to deliver NVIDIA Confidential Computing capabilities for running secure, sovereign agentic AI in highly regulated environments.

This comprehensive suite of announcements represents a full-stack blueprint for enterprise AI infrastructure. By combining sovereign physical locations (the lab), compliant private cloud software, accelerated compute and storage, high-performance networking, and embedded security, HPE and NVIDIA are providing a turnkey path for organizations to build and operate their own "AI factories." This moves beyond selling components to offering a governed, end-to-end production environment for AI, which is essential for widespread enterprise adoption.
