Swiss Educational Non-profit Aces Modern Storage Test with Cloudian
SWITCH is dedicated to Switzerland's digital future, working on behalf of the education, research, and innovation communities. The foundation promotes cybersecurity, digital identities, and better use of research data through its expertise. Faced with the need for a highly robust and flexible long-term storage solution that would allow SWITCH and its clients to easily and cost-effectively manage and retrieve archived data, the foundation created a new multi-petabyte storage infrastructure based on Cloudian's HyperStore object storage. This new infrastructure has provided the scalability, performance, and S3 compatibility needed to meet modern storage requirements, including ransomware protection.
